About This Print
I took this photo at the grand opening of Reinhold Messner’s Corones Mountain Museum, in July 2015, from a remote slope on a 2274-meter-high peak in the Alps, using a 300mm lens with a polarizing filter, to create an unconventional perspective of the building, as well as a dynamic visual dialogue between architecture, the South Tyrolean Mountains in the background, and the small human silhouette on the terrace. This photograph has been widely used by Zaha Hadid Architects as their signature image of this project.
Detail, 100% crop.
