Museo Nicolis Verona 06

The Museo Nicolis is a museum of industry and technology, with a special focus on motor vehicles, located in Villafranca, a small town near Verona.

The museum originates from the personal collection of the businessman Luciano Nicolis, who established it in 2000 with the aim of sharing his passion for technology and engineering with the public.

Building and site
The museum is housed in a welcoming contemporary-style building, designed by the Italian architect Marcello Armani and is located in the industrial suburb of Verona, not far from the city’s airport.

What to see at the Museo Nicolis
The museum’s collections are composed of cars, bicycles, motorcycles, engines – depicting the evolution of transport in the last two centuries – as well as objects of various kinds, including musical instruments, typewriters, and photo-cameras.
The collection of historical cars is the most remarkable and includes rare vehicles dating from 1886 to the present day, produced from manufacturers such as Benz, Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Lancia, Maserati, DeLorean, and Ferrari, among many others.

Program of activities and events
The Museo Nicolis organizes temporary exhibitions, often in collaboration with other institutions, guided tours and learning programs for schools. The building includes a congress center, an archive, a bar, and a store.
