Milano Design Week 2018 | a preview of DOUTDESign at Zona Santambrogio

The 2018 edition of DOUTDESign Exhibition, taking place in a former monastery in Milan’s via San Vittore 49, which is the main venue of the Zona Santambrogio Design District, provides as usual an outlook on future design trends and fileds of research.

Now in its 6th edition, the exhibition – open from 17 through 22 April 2018 – is focused on under 35 young designers and innovative startup companies operating in the fields of furniture design, sustainability, and leisure.
Projects presented at the event – covering a wide array of design areas – include the “ATD1” extensible backpack by Attitude Supply – a Milan-based company which make bags and backpacks aimed to made everyday life simpler – and “Glifo”, an 3D-printed award-winning device – conceived by a team of makers, designers, therapists and disabled children’s families – through which children with neurological diseases can write and draw autonomously. Participants also include various lighting designers presenting their works in the exhibition “illuminazioni”, 7ZoneLab with their “Re-Fresh Design” glasses frames made in PLA, and Dutch designer Naomi Jansen whose work is aimed to find creative and innovative solutions in the healthy food sector.
