Milan | an art exhibition at the Studio Museum Achille Castiglioni
By FEDERICA LUSIARDI - 2015-09-17
From February 20, 2015, the Studio Museum Achille Castiglioni in Milan hosts the art exhibition Le regole del gioco (The rules of the game).
Opened in 2006, the Studio Museum Achille Castiglioni preserves the sixty-years long work of Castiglioni, one of the most appreciated and beloved designers of the 20th century.
The museum, along with displaying some of the objects designed by Castiglioni in his long activity, shows the approach to design of one of the key-figures of Italian style, that was able to couple a free-minded attitude with rationality, creating several icons of modernity.
The exhibition Le regole del gioco, curated by Luca Lo Pinto and with the artistic direction of Edoardo Bonaspetti, features 18 Italian and international artists who were invited to interact with the objects and the architecture of the studio museum, suggesting possible cross-links with Castiglioni’s modus operandi.
