From December 3, 2016, in Lugano, Switzerland, the interactive installation “Impulse“, composed of luminous seesaws, transforms the LAC cultural center’s plaza into a urban playground.

Designed by Canada’s Lateral Office, “Impulse” is a visually powerful work which invites the public to take an original and creative experience evoking memories from childhood.
The seesaws, 16 to 23-foot long, can accommodate a variable number of persons; when moving, their luminosity changes accordingly with inclination and each seesaw emits a sound sequence composed by Canadian artist Mitchell Akiyama.
