London | Pascale Marthine Tayou at the Serpentine Sackler

By FEDERICA LUSIARDI - April 12, 2015

From March 4, 2015, the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, in London presents the exhibition “Pascale Marthine Tayou. Boomerang”. The Cameroon-born artist, which lives and works in Belgium, creates zoo-morph sculptures, realized with recovered materials, and installations composed of enigmatic craft objects. Tayou’s works are characterized by a strong and impressive connection with archetypal and primeval shapes, expressing a vision quite far from the “disposable culture” somehow typical of the contemporary globalization.

The exhibition is produced by Serpentine Galleries in collaboration with Bozar, Centre of Fine Arts, Brussels.
