Fondazione Trussardi presents the online project ‘VIAGGI DA CAMERA’
VIAGGI DA CAMERA (Chamber Journeys) is an online project launched by the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi which brings together and distributes images, videos, and texts, chosen by artists invited to narrate their own private domestic space. Every day, from March 27, 2020, a new contribution will be published on the website and the social channels of the Foundation.
Inspired by the famous 18th-century novel by Xavier De Maistre ‘Voyage Around my Room’ – written during a forced confinement of 42 days in a room in Turin – VIAGGI DA CAMERA invites artists to open the doors to their own rooms, both real and imaginary. During this time of forced isolation, the project stimulates us to undertake new journeys within the perimeter of our own rooms, so as to unveil new maps of the imagination and new vanishing points.
Among the many artists invited, the following have already joined the project (in alphabetical order): Marco Belfiore, Carlo Benvenuto, Simone Berti, Maurizio Cattelan, Andrea Contin, Genuardi/Ruta, Massimo Grimaldi, Emilio Isgrò, Luisa Lambri, Marcello Maloberti, Domenico Antonio Mancini, MASBEDO, Marzia Migliora, Giuseppe Penone, Diego Perrone, Gabriele Picco, Paola Pivi, Farid Rahimi, Marinella Senatore, Elisa Sighicelli, Federico Tosi, Patrick Tuttofuoco, Grazia Varisco, Nanda Vigo, and Luca Vitone.
