Barcelona | Design for Food at the design museum (Museu del Disseny)
From March 8 through May 21, 2017 the design museum “Museu del Disseny” in Barcelona presents the temporary exhibition “Tapas. Spanish Design for Food”.

The exhibition at the “Museu del Disseny” is the last leg of a 3 years traveling exhibition which has already presented in Tokyo, Miami, Washington, Seoul, Toronto and Madrid, among other places. “Tapas. Spanish Design for Food” explores the interaction between design, food and drink, focusing on creations from the last 25 years.
More than 250 pieces – cooking utensils, gadgets, furniture, videos and photographs – link the world of material culture to food and drink, history, architecture, interior design and industrial design.

Curated by designer and architect Juli Capella, “Tapas” gives visitors a taste of the contribution made by design to food and drink in three themed sections, entitled: The Kitchen, The Table, Food.

The exhibition – organized by Acción Cultural Española (Spanish Cultural Action) and Museu del Disseny de Barcelona will also be accompanied by a full program of workshops, lectures, and special activities.
