On 19 October 2014 at 2 PM, the Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt opens it new satellite, the MMK2, with the Grand Opening exhibition Boom She Boom.

The exhibition, open until 14 June 2015, features artworks from the museum collection with paintings, sculptures, videos and installations exclusively by female artists:  Jo Baer,  Vanessa Beecroft, Shannon Bool, Andrea Büttner, Vija Celmins, Hanne Darboven, Rineke Dijkstra, Marlene Dumas, Parastou Forouhar, Katharina Fritsch. Isa Genzken,Tamara Grcic, Bethan Huws, Anne Imhof, Barbara Klemm, Eva Kot’átková, Franziska Kneidl, Teresa Margolles, Sarah Morris, Cady Noland, Anja Niedringhaus, Christa Näher, Charlotte Posenenske, Jewyo Rhii, Taryn Simon, Sturtevant, Rosemarie Trockel and Adrian Williams.

The Museum für Moderne Kunst 2, located in the Taunus Turm office tower, is the new venue of the MMK aimed to present the museum recent acquisitions and new productions and is one of the few art museums to be housed inside an office building in an international financial district. The museum addition, provided with an independent access, has a floor area of 2,000 square meters on two levels and includes flexible exhibition spaces, a shop and a café.
